About Me                                                     Political Resume

Candace NobleCandace "Candy" Noble has been a tireless Republican supporter, volunteer and activist for many years. She is unashamedly Conservative and Pro-life. She feels that Government should limit itself to protecting life and liberty, and making opportunities for businesses, families and individuals be successful citizens. As a Texas GOP Platform Committee member in 2008, she understands and agrees with the ideals that make the Texas Republican Party the best in the United States. She would like the opportunity to serve on the State Republican Executive Committee to further serve the citizens of Senate District 8.

Candy grew up in Abilene Texas, the youngest of 6 children, and with the almost impossible to pronounce maiden name of Thweatt (rhymes with "sweet".) She became interested in politics at a young age while watching the Watergate Hearings and trying to understand the goings-on in Washington. Actually, Washington happenings are something she still finds both interesting and confusing.

Candy attended Hardin-Simmons University and did her first volunteer lobbying while a student there at the Texas Legislature for the Texas Equalization Grant. She graduated with a degree in Education in 1983.

Noble FamilyCandy and her husband, Robert, have three daughters and one son-in-law and have been active members of Prestonwood Baptist Church since 1985. She and Robert lived in Garland for 9 years, and then in Plano for the last 16 years. Candy has a heart for people who are hurting and has worked and directed the Prestonwood Baptist Church Food Pantry/Clothes Closet for 17 years. She has also served on her Neighborhood Association Board and as an active volunteer in Plano schools. She has served on the Transportation Advisory Committee for the City of Plano and is currently serving on the Collin County Parks and Open Spaces Foundation.

Candy's political involvement didn't end with college. She enjoys working on political campaigns, and has been involved at every level of campaigning for many years in both Dallas and Collin Counties. She is the Precinct Chair of Collin County Precinct 31. She served two years as President of Golden Corridor Republican Women. She served at the Texas GOP Convention representing SD 8 on the Platform Committee in 2008. She is ready to serve on the State Republican Executive Committee representing the best interests of all Texas Republicans.

Candy would like to see the State Republican Party set an example for our elected officials in living within a reasonable budget. Texas has the best platform in the nation. She would like to be active in recruiting like-minded voters of all backgrounds, ages and races to join with Republicans in our conservative message. She would like to see our elected officials be accountable to our message: allowing businesses, families and communities to thrive though a government limiting itself on every level to the duties of restraining evil and encouraging productive industry.
